Knights

Chief Executive Officer

Previously, Brenda served as CEO of Seyem, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kwantlen First Nation, and held several management roles with Coast Mountain Bus Company, a subsidiary of TransLink.

She is a federal appointee to the Canada Lands Company Board and a provincial appointee to both Legal Aid BC and the New Relationship Trust.

Brenda holds a Diploma in Business Management and is currently enrolled in the Master’s in Business Leadership program at Trinity Western University. She has also completed executive management courses through the Sauder School of Business and BCIT.

Vanessa
Mountain

Vanessa Mountain, a member of the N’quatqua Band of the St’at’imc Nation, carries the traditional name Kayaya and was also given the name T’sundi’gumgila’ogwa by her husband’s family.

Her career spans financial services and Indigenous economic development, with a focus on building capacity in Aboriginal organizations and supporting entrepreneurship.

Vanessa serves on the Board of The Bloom Group Society and the Board of TTQ Development Corporation, and is a Trustee for a St’at’imc Nation trust.

She is Vice President of the BC Indigenous Land Development Society, supporting Indigenous-led land development initiatives across British Columbia.

Justin
Molander

Chief Financial Officer

Justin Molander, CPA, CMA, is a member of Sapotaweyak Cree Nation and a senior finance professional with extensive experience in real estate finance, housing development, and Indigenous economic advancement. He brings a strong background in financial strategy, governance, and private capital advisory.

Justin has taught accounting, taxation, and Indigenous business at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Langara College, and University Canada West.

He is also Managing Director of Trading Post Investments Ltd., where he supports Indigenous economic development and real estate financing initiatives across Canada. His work focuses on advancing financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic opportunities for Indigenous communities.

Helen
Song

Director, Properties and
Land Development

Helen Song is a real estate development professional with over 20 years of experience in the private and public sectors. Her expertise includes development and project management, portfolio strategy, design and construction, and real estate marketing.

She has delivered projects ranging from heritage conversions and on-Nation housing to high-rise developments across Western Canada, and has supported international developers entering the Canadian market.

Helen holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and is a Certified Project Manager. At BCILDS, she brings a global perspective to Indigenous-led land development that supports community sustainability and economic opportunity.
